City council approves nearly 300k of playground equipment for destroyed park
A suspected case of arson that destroyed the parks playground back in August 2023, decimating what officials estimated to be hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of equipment. The council decision will cost $300,000 in total and install a completely new equipment set in the park.

Playgrounds to get facelift
After a 10 month wait due to delays in the manufacturing and shipping of many goods nationwide, the city announced that several playgrounds will be seeing new equipment installed, removing those that are antiquated or damaged. Upgrades include water fountains with dog bowls, new fencing, skate park ramps, shade structures, and safety surfacing.
