There were at least a dozen incidents from graffiti, damage to springs and arson fires that have destroyed the zip line over years. The repair bill has been estimated to have costed over €8000 so far and council has now decided not to repair it and have it removed instead to avoid further repair costs. This decision, however, will be kept under review to consider alternative opportunities to enhance the existing play offer in the future.
